Race Description
The Winterhaven Run Through The Lights is a non-competitive, 5K fun run through the lights of Winterhaven. This fun run is a casual-paced run with a few stops (to re-group) and filled with
singing and lots of holiday cheer. Festive, holiday attire is encouraged (antlers, lights, striped socks...).
Immediately following the run, SAR will host its annual Desert Grand Prix Awards Ceremony, with free food and soft drinks, compliments of the Southern Arizona Roadrunners. It's a great way to wrap up the evening!

Race Distances and Course
5K
Flat, paved course winding through the Winterhaven neighborhood. Winterhaven residents decorate their homes each holiday season. Tonight, the neighborhood will be closed to automobiles.

Location
The run begins at
Winterhaven Square on the southeast corner of Ft. Lowell and Country Club.
The owner of the Winterhaven Square shopping center has asked that participants not park in the Winterhaven Square parking lot. Additional parking is nearby - try the
St. Francis Cabrini Church, 3201 East Presidio Road (right behind Winterhaven Square).
Grand Prix Awards Party and Dinner
The
SAR Grand Prix Awards banquet location will be announced closer to the event date.
Entry Fees
The entry fee for each participant is two cans of food for the
Community Food Bank.

Weather
Conditions are typically around 50 degrees, clear skies, no wind, and dark. Check out
Tucson's current conditions and forecast so you'll dress warmly enough!
