Course, Staging and Other Information
The course is a loop -  It starts with a screaming downhill on Campbell, then turns right onto Skyline, then turns right and takes a 30 yard uphill to the parking lots; turn right and then circle the lower lot past Crate and Barrel and AJ’s; turn right at AJ’s and follow the loop parking lot all the way back to the starting/finish line – each lap is almost exactly one mile.  Quick advice: Take advantage of the downhill, and don’t be scared of the uphill.
Volunteers - Special thanks to a host of organizations for being course marshals, registration, and water station volunteers: The Workout Group; Better Than Ever, the Tri-Girls; Rural Metro firefighters; Fort Huachuca personnel; and Delta Sigma Pi from the University of Arizona.  If you want to help out on race day, we’d be happy to put you to work – contact race director Randy Accetta at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) .
Water Stations – There is a single water station of Culligan water near the starting line.  5k runners will pass it two times in the race.  There will also be plenty of Culligan water at the staging area.
Timing - The race will be timed by Joe Cuffari.  Please put your bib number on the front of your shirt using the pins provided at registration.
Rural Metro – Rural Metro will have a dedicated ambulance on site during the duration of the two races, from 8:15-10:15.  Rural Metro will also have a totally cool fire truck there for the kids to play on.
T-shirts - The shirts are short sleeve technical shirts from Leslie Jordan designs.  There are 400 shirts total .  Please arrive early to get a shirt.
Weather – The day is due to be sunny and warm, with an overnight low of 43 and high of 82.  Bring layers for the morning, but it’ll be warm by mid-morning.

There is no bag check, so please be respectful of each other’s property.
