Dave’s Run for ALS: Early Registration and Other News

It’s hard to believe that this year’s Dave’s Run will be the 10th Annual ALS fundraiser. But you’d better believe that it’s fast approaching and early registration discounts close after tomorrow (March 13). Get those entries in the mail, or online at http://www.active.com. You can also download an entry form at http://www.azroadrunners.org.

Packet pickup and late registration will be at The Running Shop, 3055 N. Campbell Avenue, from 11am until 3pm and race day registration will start from 7am at Dove Mountain.

We would like to particularly thank our long-time sponsor, The Running Shop, for continuing to support this event, along with returning 2009 sponsors, The Gallery Golf Club and Dove Mountain Grill. We are also proud to announce a new sponsor for 2010: Trico Electric Cooperative. Our food and drink sponsors this year include Culligan Oasis Water, Xood and Wheaties!

This year we welcome a new beneficiary for the 5K: the Jim Himelic Foundation, from which funds will be channeled directly into ALS research at UA.

Here’s what else is new for 2010:

Cash awards for first three overall, male and female.

Special awards for best age-graded performance, male and female.

Kid’s races, sponsored by Craig Dabler, Jeweler’s.

Special breakfast discounts on production of race bib number at Vero Amore restaurant (50 yards from the finish line). They will also have ‘grab and go’ breakfast burritos available.
