Now, for those who have signed up already: Thank you!  From conversations with runners and walkers throughout our community, it’s clear that the memory of Gabe inspires each of us to a live a more thoughtful and loving life, with compassion for those in need and the internal bravery to live our own passions.  Indeed, these three running events—with all of their ups and downs and city streets under construction—are a metaphor for developing a healthy community, all of us putting one step in front of the other in pursuit of our collective destination.

Event Details
You will receive a special “Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown Run Tucson” shirt for registering and each of you will also receive a special Meet Me Downtown medal. Then, for completing all three races, you will receive a special three-piece finisher’s medal, based on the themes from Meet Me Downtown, Saguaro, and Get Moving Tucson.  (Remember, though, you need to complete all three events to receive the special finisher’s award!) 

You can pick up both your shirt and your Meet Me Downtown medal at the Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown tent on race day, Saturday June 2nd, at the race site (200 South Sixth Avenue) from 5:00-8:30 pm. 

Please note that the Meet Me Downtown race is the only location to pick up your Triple Crown materials.  We will have an alphabetized list of Triple Crown registrants to check your name off as you pick up your shirt and medal.  We do not have the ability to mail shirts or medals to folks who cannot pick them up, so please be sure to either pick them up yourself or send someone to pick them up for you.  If you can, please wear your new shirt in the race – it will be a great way to show your support for Gabe! 

Once again, we at the Southern Arizona Roadrunners thank you for doing the series – and finally, we offer a special thanks to Julia Strange at Tucson Medical Center and the folks at Caliente and the Daily Star for enabling us to develop the Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown concept.
