New FREE Social Run….“Meet Me At Boston’s” starts Wednesday April 28

As part of SAR’s mission to promote health and wellness through running and walking, we are sponsoring a new social run, modeled on the very successful “Meet Me At Maynards”, but based in Marana in the Arizona Pavilions complex at exit 246 from the I-10. Entry is totally free and we will have some free giveaways for first-night registrants. We are also partnering with local restaurants and businesses, to offer discounts to “Meet Me At Boston’s” participants. This is a family-friendly event, with a mostly traffic-free route. Come along and meet some new friends and have a good time!

WHAT:
A fun social walk/run along the Santa Cruz River path and around the new Silverbell Crossroads Park. Different distance options are available, from 2 miles upwards.

WHEN:
The inaugural “Meet Me At Boston’s” will be held on April 28, 2010, starting at 6:00pm (registration from 5:00pm). Thereafter, every Wednesday evening, at the same time.

WHO:
Anyone who wants to walk, jog or run in a social and welcoming atmosphere. All ages and ability levels are welcome; baby strollers are welcome; children (supervised) are welcome, dogs (leashed) are welcome. The route is ADA-compatible.

WHERE:
Meet at Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza restaurant, 5825 W. Arizona Pavilions Drive. From I-10, take exit 246 and turn west on Cortaro Road, then left (south) at the first stop light onto Arizona Pavilions. From Silverbell Road, turn east onto Cortaro Road, then right at the first stop light onto Arizona Pavilions.
