Registration for Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown closes soon, while A-Mountain training runs begin soon
Randy Accetta August 4, 2011You can still join the over 600 Triple Crowners already signed up, but registration for the inaugural Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown will close in a few weeks. Triple Crown events remaining include the September 5th TMC Saguaro Labor Day Run and the OCtober 9th TMC Get Moving Tucson Half-Marathon featuring A-Mountain and companion Tucson Lifestyle 5k. A few things to note:
* You can sign up online here or you can print out a Triple Crown entry form from the SAR Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown page. All new registrants will receive the awesomely cool Run Tucson technical shirt.
* If you completed the first leg at Meet Me Downtown but have not yet registered for the Triple Crown, you are still eligible for the special completion award.

Finally, a note on training for A-Mountain: weekly free social training runs will begin on Monday night, August 22nd. Be ready to run (or walk) at 5:45 pm—meet at Meet Me at Maynard’s, 400 North Toole. The route is almost exactly 6.2 miles—we’ll start at Maynard’s and go straight west on Congress, then up and down A-Mountain, and back along Congress to the finish at Maynard’s. You can go farther or shorter as you wish . . . pace groups are being planned.
