SAR now accepting applications for Children’s Fitness Fund
Randy Accetta May 29, 2010SAR is now accepting applications for the Children’s Fitness Fund. The programs funded by SAR’s Children’s Fitness Fund focus on the development of healthy lifestyles for children, with emphasis on running related activities. SAR seeks to fund programs that prepare children for a lifetime of individual exercise, regardless of physical condition or ability. All proposals need to be submitted by July 31st in order to be reviewed by the SAR board at the Annual Board meeting in August. Please note that, historically, proposals have asked for $100-$1,000. Proposals need not be more than 500 words. Successful proposals should include the following elements:
* A description of the scope of the project, including level of funding sought and description of organization
* Line item budget of potential expenses
* Description of beneficiaries
* Materials required
* Name and contact information for grant recipient
