Updates on the two next SAR races: A Fine Valentine and Sunrise at Old Tucson

A beautiful Sun Run today sets the stage for upcoming SAR races.  We can’t promise such stunning snow-covered mountain vistas, but we can promise plenty of hills at the low-key and playful Valentine’s Day Couple’s Relay and Ramp Run on Valentine’s morning, Sunday February 14th.  Staged at the UA’s Main Gate, the race runs along the UA mall, down to the stadium, up and down the ramps, and back to the Main Gate.  An Open 4-Miler, an Open 2-miler walk/run, and a Couple’s Relay, with Open, College, and Over-100 categories.  PDA’s to win couple’s prizes!  Register online here.

Then on Sunday March 7th is the second Sunrise at Old Tucson Cross Country Trail Run. The run itself will follow a well-marked series of trails and streets on the Old Tucson grounds, with prizes for overall, age group, and raffles.  This year the event will start in the heart of Main Street and finish at Bitter Creek, with the trailside breakfast and post-race activities taking place at Bitter Creek, same as last year. Runners and walkers are both welcome!  The special early registration of $20 for SAR member and $23 for non-SAR member ends on February 1st.  The special 1-miler price of $10 ends on February 1st, too!  Register online here.
