Description
The 30th annual edition of Tucson’s largest and most scenic 10K winds its way through Starr Pass in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains. Run or walk the gorgeous course with beautiful mountain scenery and great views of the Tucson basin, then enjoy incredible post-race burritos courtesy of El Saguarito Mexican Food, complete with Mariachi music, Starbucks coffee, snacks, and other refreshments!

The paved, USATF Certified 10K out and back road course features rolling hills winding through the Starr Pass Resort in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains. Ends with a 2-mile downhill before finishing in front of Cholla High School. Two water stops.

Registration
- Register online with a credit card at active.com.
- Register at packet pickup: at Performance Footwear (5350 E. Broadway Blvd at the Williams Center - map) on Saturday, May 1, from 10am-3pm
- Race-day registration and packet pick-up will be available on site at Cholla High School from 5:30-6:30 am.
Awards
Individual awards to the top 3 finishers in each 5-year age group as well as awards to overall and masters finishers (male & female.)
Cash awards will be given to the overall and masters winners:
Overall: 1st: $100; 2nd: $75; 3rd: $50
Masters: 1st: $50
This race is part of the 2009 SAR Desert Grand Prix, presented by the Running Shop.
Wear your oldest “Cinco” tee shirt to the event. The participant who sports the earliest version will receive a cash prize. (Previous winners not eligible.)
Race Weather
Start-time temperatures are usually 55-60 degrees F, clear skies, and no wind. Check out Tucson’s current conditions and forecast so you’ll be race-ready!
