Description
The Spring Cross Country Classic is a fun filled, low cost 5k through the scenic rolling trails of Lincoln Park. There are separate races for men and women, and a wide variety of age groups means everyone competes for prizes, Lincoln Park is located on Tucson’s east side and has some great vantage points to watch the races. A low-cost SAR event, Spring Cross Country is proud to continue the tradtion of letting runners choose a t-shirt from a grab bag of shirts from other club runs.
This race is one of 18 great running events produced by SAR!

Race Distances and Courses
The cross-country course winds its way through the desert surrounding Lincoln Park, mainly on dirt trails and a scenic jaunt through the bird sanctuary. This 5K race features a challenging course with rolling hills through the desert and finishes along a paved path to Ramada 2 at Upper Lincoln Park leading to an exciting kick to the finish!

$10 - SAR Members by 4/18/13
$12 - Non-SAR Members by 4/18/13
$15 - All regstrations after 4/18/13 to Race Day
Registration
- Print Registration Form and mail it in. Registration by mail must be postmarked by Monday, April 15, 2013.
- Register online with a credit card at active.com.
- Packet pick-up is at The Running Shop on April 19 from 3-6 pm. Please note that only cash or checks are accepted for payment.
- Race day registration is at 6:30-7:00 (for Men) and 6:30-7:45 (for Women). Please note that only cash or checks are accepted for payment.
Beer Garden and Potluck
After the race, get together with family and friends and enjoy a day in the park with family-friendly activities and games. Highlighted by a kids dash and our 5th annual egg toss championships. There will also be a pot-luck so bring your favorite family dish. Enjoy Tucson’s only race with a beer garden! During the awards ceremony, have a beer (with valid ID and race number) or non-alcoholic Kamikaze Juice or Red Lip Lizard Punch on us.

Age groups will be 11 and under, 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84 and 85+
Top three overall and Master’s winner will be taken out of age group awards. All participants are eligible for raffle prizes.

St. Augustine Catholic H.S. Track & Cross Country Teams
A dedicated group of runners from a small eastside high school. They compete with honor and train hard everyday - they are not afraid to race anyone, anywhere, anytime!
