Catalina State Park
Description
This fun group meets Tuesday mornings from at 6:00 AM (from May 1 - Sept. 30) or 6:30 AM (from Oct 1- April 30) at Catalina State Park for some fun trail runs. There’s no charge to run with this bunch, but the park entry fee is $5 per vehicle or $45 for the entire year. Meet one mile past the entry booth at the first picnic loop (just past the Equestrian Center and Group Area roads). Bring water. The group ranges in age from 22 to 70, with paces between 8 and 11 minute miles - people generally pair up according to pace. The normal run is 7.5 miles (mostly soft sand and dirt trail, but about 1.5 miles of paved road). You’e welcome to cut the route short to make a 3.5 or 6 miles run.
